Job summary

Bowman Consulting in Houston, TX is seeking a Designer I, Structural (Oil & Gas) to create and modify project designs using CAD software. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Entry level to two years of experience.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and analytical skills – written and verbal.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Strong relationship capabilities.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provides CAD drafting, prepares drawings and schematics from specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches.
• Coordinates with engineers or designers to complete projects per specifications and standards.
• Supports engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
• Work is closely managed.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves foundation, structural steel, building, and earthwork BOMs and designs.
