Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer in Kernersville, NC to support and grow our Transportation Practice.

The role focuses on structural analysis and design of various bridge types, including steel beams and prestressed concrete, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring project quality. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of bridge design experience, DOT guidelines familiarity, and a PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge projects as the Bridge Task Coordinator, managing schedules, tasks and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee quality control for bridge design and plan sets.
• Develop technical memorandums, specifications, feasibility studies, evaluations, and reports; contribute to proposals.
