Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer at Level 3 or 4 to join the team in Dulles or McLean, VA. This on-site role focuses on static and dynamic analysis for spacecraft systems, with opportunities to develop innovative design concepts and verify critical requirements.

Candidates must hold a STEM degree and have extensive experience with space-rated structural tools (NX FEMAP/NASTRAN, ABAQUS, HYPERMESH). An active TS/SCI clearance is required at submission.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM required or Master’s/PhD with related experience.
5+ years of experience in structural/mechanical analysis for space systems.
Active TS/SCI clearance at time of application.
Experience with NX FEMAP/NASTRAN, ABAQUS or HYPERMESH (spacecraft tools preferred).

Responsibilities

Perform static and dynamic structure analysis for spacecraft systems.
Review requirements for materials, structures and subsystems and verify design compliance.
Release technical documents after review by senior engineers.
Develop innovative structural solutions and evaluate designs with engineers.
