Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautic Systems is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer/Principal Structural Analysis Engineer for Palmdale or El Segundo, CA. The role supports a high-paced development effort with 1st shift 9/80 and requires an active USG Secret clearance or eligibility.

Primary tasks include stress analysis, design reviews, and cross-disciplinary coordination. The position involves analyzing metals, non-metals, or composites, with Catia, FEMAP, Patran, and Nastran as common tools.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering with aerospace, mechanical, or civil focus.
• Active USG Secret clearance or eligible for one.
• Experience in structural analysis of aircraft structures.
• Experience with bonded composite and metallic structures.
• Knowledge of structural analysis methods and large finite element models.
• Experience using PATRAN or FEMAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide stress analysis for primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Review analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy and clarity.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on design solutions.
• Present structural issues and solutions to management and customers.
• Maintain and improve designs to support production deliveries.
• Develop thorough, practical solutions aligned with program goals.
• Evaluate as-built products for standards conformance.
