Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Associate Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team. You will perform strength, fatigue, and damage‑tolerance analyses of metallic and composite components, support nonconformance dispositions, and document analysis results.

The successful candidate will be proficient in classical and finite element analysis methodologies and will work within an Integrated Product Team.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related field.
2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Experience performing stress analysis on composite structures, laminates, bonded assemblies or related structures.
1+ years of experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools (Hypermesh, MSC Nastran/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Stress Check).

Responsibilities

Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Work under general supervision.
