Job summary

The Boeing Company in Mesa, AZ, is seeking an Associate Structural Analysis Engineer to perform strength, fatigue, and damage-tolerance analyses of metallic and composite structures. You will work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and communicate with senior engineers to develop integrated solutions for complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• 2+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Experience performing stress analysis on composite structures, laminates, bonded assemblies or related structures.
• 1+ years' experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools (Hypermesh, MSC Nastran/PATRAN, ABAQUS, Stress Check, etc)
• Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems.
• This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
• This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance
• Support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
• Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
• Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
• Work under general supervision
