Job summary

Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, CA, seeks a Clinical Quality Coordinator to lead the multidisciplinary stroke program and maintain ongoing certification. You will work under the Quality Manager with neurology and neurosurgery directors to advance education, clinical initiatives, and outreach related to the Neurosurgical/Stroke programs.

The role requires California RN licensure and BLS, strong leadership and data-analysis skills, and a commitment to improving patient care through

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
• Experience in data collection, entry, and analysis.
• 5 years’ clinical experience with 2-3 years of program management.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads the ongoing maintenance of the Comprehensive Stroke Center certification.
• Informs administrators, medical directors and hospital department leaders regarding regulatory changes.
• Demonstrates problem-solving and supports process improvement initiatives.
• Manages patient privacy and professional communication.
• Leads data collection, health outcomes reporting, and clinical audits.
• Participates in Disease Specific Care committee meetings.
• Provides education to staff about new procedures and techniques.
