Job summary

Garden Grove Hospital Medical Center in Southern California is seeking a Stroke Center Coordinator to support the Emergency Department. The role focuses on coordinating the Stroke Certification process, developing protocols, training staff, and driving performance improvement with hospital leaders.

The ideal candidate is a registered nurse with current licensure, BSN preferred, and evidence of strong communication, teamwork and computer skills; BLS/ACLS required with PALS/ENPC or TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in an acute care hospital environment.
• Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• Team approach to patient care.
• Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.
• Flexibility required.
• PALS and/or ENPC preferred.
• TNCC upon hire, preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Stroke Center Coordinator is responsible and accountable directly to the Emergency Director.
• Coordinate the Stroke Certification process, including development and review of protocols, training, performance improvement and community outreach.
• Collaborate with CNO, Emergency Department, ED Director, EMS, hospital department directors and staff to achieve program goals.
