Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center is seeking a Stroke Program Manager to lead the development and maturation of its stroke program, ensuring governance, protocols, staffing, and certification readiness. The role collaborates with EMS, neurology, nursing, radiology, pharmacy, and quality teams to deliver integrated care.

You will own stroke data, dashboards, and performance-improvement plans, while guiding education programs and community outreach to enhance outcomes and access.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in stroke care, neuroscience, emergency services, healthcare quality, or healthcare operations.
  • Current New Jersey RN license required.
  • Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) certification required (within 24 months of hire).
  • Demonstrated experience building or expanding a stroke program and pursuing stroke-center certification.

Responsibilities

  • Build and mature the stroke program with governance, protocols, staffing plans, and certifications readiness.
  • Coordinate the stroke system of care across EMS, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Nursing, Radiology, and other partners.
  • Own stroke data, registries, dashboards, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead stroke committee activities, staff education, and community outreach.
  • Design and standardize neurology operations across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
  • Improve access, throughput, patient navigation, and overall care continuity.
