Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Program Supervisor for the Cerebrovascular Program to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Charleston Division, ensuring 24/7 readiness and compliance with regulatory standards.

The role leads a team of stroke coordinators, data analysts, and nurses, driving quality improvement, patient outcomes, and enterprise-wide stroke initiatives within MUSC’s comprehensive stroke program.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong mentoring, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct leadership to stroke coordinators, data analysts, and transitional care nurses.
• Leads regulatory preparedness, certification activities, and corrective action plans.
• Coordinates interdisciplinary collaboration across physicians, nursing, EMS, and administrative teams.
• Oversees care transitions from emergency response to discharge planning and follow-up.
• Monitors compliance with guidelines, accreditation standards, and performance benchmarks.
• Represents the program at community events and educational opportunities.
• Oversees data collection, reporting, and analytics for certification and quality improvement.
