University Hospitals is seeking a Stroke Center Coordinator to lead organized stroke patient care, align with evidence-based guidelines, and drive outcomes. Working with the medical director, you will set program goals and coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care.

Requirements include a BSN and an RN license, 3+ years of clinical nursing (ED/ICU/neurology preferred), and experience with Joint Commission Stroke Center standards and data collection.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BSN degree required.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience (ED/ICU/neurology preferred).
• Experience with Joint Commission Stroke Center standards and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Chair the stroke committee in collaboration with medical leadership.
• Oversee care of stroke patients ensuring standards and regulatory requirements are met.
• Respond to stroke alerts to support staff and expedite care.
• Develop and provide education related to stroke care to physicians, nursing staff, EMS.
• Abstract data to meet regulatory requirements for stroke certification and provide feedback to the team.
• Analyze data and quality outcomes to identify trends and implement process improvements.
• Participate in system stroke committee meetings and integrate system initiatives.
• Facilitate community outreach risk screenings and educational programs related to stroke.
