Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Stringless Paving Intern to support our GPS team on paving operations. The role involves using robotic total stations and survey gear to guide concrete pavers and ensure pavement thickness and alignment per contract specs.

You will join a fast-paced field environment, perform site surveys, establish control networks, and coordinate with jobsite Superintendents. Candidates should have a high school diploma, familiarity with surveying, and willingness to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to train in surveying.
• Familiarity with surveying and construction industry; OSHA training preferred.
• Experience with Excel, AutoCad, Trimble software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position total stations to control horizontal and vertical alignment.
• As-built pavement data collection and design tie-ins.
• Establish job site control networks.
• Quality assurance of tolerances during paving operations.
• Coordinate surveying with jobsite Superintendents.
