Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Surveying Intern to join the GPS team in Springfield, MO. You will learn surveying techniques on a real job site, work alongside an experienced technician, and gain practical field experience in construction layout and plan reading.

The intern will gain exposure to ESOP-driven culture, on‑the‑job training, and potential career paths toward full-time surveying roles within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; willingness to train the right candidate.
• Two years of construction industry experience preferred OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
• Familiarity with surveying and construction industry encouraged.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to operate field surveying equipment and read plans.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surveying instruments on job sites.
• Calibrate GPS rovers and GPS machine control.
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys.
• Prepare documentation of surveying activities.
• Coordinate surveying with jobsite personnel.
