Job summary

Silfab Solar is seeking a Stringer Operator to safely and precisely run the stringer machine, monitor performance, and assist with preventive and autonomous maintenance as needed. You will load materials, inspect solar cells, and operate HMIs/NC interfaces to control and troubleshoot equipment, reporting deviations and working with maintenance and engineering on improvements.

This position features a 12-hour rotating shift from 6 AM to 6 PM and requires a high school diploma, hands-on

Qualifications

2+ years of autonomous manufacturing experience required.
Hands-on experience with HMI-controlled equipment and NC machinery.
Basic mechanical, pneumatic or electrical troubleshooting skills.
Attention to detail and clear documentation of equipment or process issues.

Responsibilities

Safely operate and monitor stringer machinery, ensuring proper function and throughput.
Load materials and visually inspect solar cells against established standards.
Operate HMIs and NC interfaces for machine control, diagnostics, and basic troubleshooting.
Perform preventive and autonomous maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of key components.
Troubleshoot and communicate basic machine faults to minimize downtime; escalate as needed.
Record hourly production and performance data and report deviations.
