Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Missouri is hiring a full-time HAA Pilot to provide medical air transport with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires extensive rotorcraft flight time, PIC time, and turbine experience, with preferred HEMS background.

Responsibilities include planning, preflight checks, weather monitoring, and coordinating with operations. Compensation includes a comprehensive salary, stipends, sign-on, and housing benefits, with a 14-on/14-off schedule.

Qualifications

• 2000 hours total flight time
• 1500 hours helicopter time
• 1000 hours pilot in command
• 1000 hours turbine
• Minimum of 200 hours night
• 200 Instrument Hours (Actual / Hood / SIM) 50 Hours Actual in Aircraft
• Previous HEMS experience or equivalent – preferred
• 1 year experience with any GMR Air company – preferred BH429 or EC135 Experience preferred
• FAA Commercial Rotorcraft-Helicopter certificate
• FAA Helicopter instrument rating

Responsibilities

• Creates pilot information guide to include location, frequencies, and procedures to be used, when flying into hospitals and other EMS agencies.
• Conducts local area orientation as required.
• Informs the Regional Director of Flight Operations anytime the necessary information for flight planning is not available or up-to date.
• Operates the aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, with emphasis on compliance with the Rotorcraft Flight Manual
• Monitors forecast changes and current weather situations
• Conducts preflight of the aircraft prior to starting shift and/or accepting any transports or flights. Preflight will be conducted utilizing the appropriate rotorcraft flight manual. Discrepancies noted during the pre-flight will be noted in the engineering log with a notification to maintenance of the discrepancy and what corrective action is being taken
• Reports any major malfunctions, aircraft damage, or injured personnel to Operations Center in the most expeditious manner
• Ensures that all operations involving Company aircraft are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, the Air Evac Operations Manual, and any state or municipal regulation; thus ensuring safe, efficient transport
• Performs any housekeeping duties required to make the crew quarters and hanger area neat, clean, and presentable along with nurse, paramedic.
• Wash, wax, and clean aircraft, as needed, along with nurse, paramedic and maintenance personnel.
• Submits all appropriate paperwork in a neat and timely manner Performs other duties as assigned

We’re hiring a Strike Float Pilot to provide medical air transportation services for Air Evac Lifeteam’s customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

Incentives

• Salary range $102,073 - $107,399 including 15% Geo Modifier
• $12K Float stipend
• $5K IFR stipend
• $15K Sign on Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

• Hourly position (any hours over 40 in a pay week is over time)
• EC135 AND Bell 429 IFR positions available
