Qualifications

  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Read and understand basic instructions, correspondence, and work-related information.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and safety awareness.
  • Work effectively as part of a field crew.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment to clean and maintain drainage pipes, ditches, channels, and rights-of-way.
  • Perform roadway and drainage maintenance, including asphalt/concrete repairs.
  • Haul excavated dirt, rock, concrete, and debris as required.
  • Carry out concrete work for drainage headwalls, flumes, and culverts.
  • Assist with traffic control and maintain safe work zones.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Work with other Public Works crews to complete projects.
  • Maintain safety and health standards on all worksites.
