Job summary

Phoenix Rescue Mission in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Full-time Street Outreach Coordinator to coordinate day labor opportunities for people living on the streets, 5 hours per day, 4 days per week. The role includes scheduling referrals, pre-screening for project readiness, and connecting participants with resources to exit homelessness.

You will work with municipal partners on Will Works projects, participate in outreach events, and help promote a credible Christian witness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of homeless street outreach or similar experience.
• Peer Support certification preferred; lived experience with homelessness a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a scheduling system for project referrals and conduct location pre-screening to ensure project preparation.

• Lead or participate in devotions, prayers, or other organization activities to promote a Christian witness.

Requirements

What You Should Have

• You have your High School Diploma or GED.
• You have at least one year of experience performing homeless street outreach or in a similar setting.
• You are preferably certified in Peer Support and have experienced living in homelessness.
• You have a valid Arizona State driver's license; clear driving record; personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• You have strong critical thinking skills.
• You have superior judgment and excellent problem-solving skills.
• You have a solid and credible Christian witness and lifestyle that exemplifies Christ in character and actions.
