Position Purpose

This position involves maintaining City streets through activities such as drainage ditch maintenance, erosion control, street repair, sidewalk installation, and citizen interaction. This role does not involve supervising other employees.

Responsibilities

1. Repair and maintain streets by asphalt work, crack sealing, pothole patching, street overlays, street cleaning, and concrete work.
2. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients by responding promptly and professionally.
3. Maintain drainage systems by repairing pipes, removing obstructions, and installing culverts.
4. Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
5. Complete additional assigned duties and maintain regular attendance.
6. Understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.
7. Possess less than one year of related experience.
8. Hold a valid Texas Class A CDL Driver's License or obtain one within two months of hire, passing all required tests.
9. Obtain Work Zone Safety Certification within one year of hire.
10. Successfully complete a six-month introductory evaluation period.
