Job summary

The City of Beverly Hills is seeking a Street Maintenance Technician to join the Public Works Street Services Bureau. Under supervision, incumbents perform journey-level duties in maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and related infrastructure, including signage and markings.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least two years of skilled maintenance experience, plus a valid California driver's license (Class C at hire and Class B by probation).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience performing skilled maintenance and construction work related to city streets and infrastructure.
• Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license at date of hire and a valid Class B by completion of probation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, parking lots, waterways, storm drains, and alleys.
• Generate, fabricate, and install street and informational signage; apply street markings and directional messages.
