Job summary

The City of Great Falls is seeking a street maintenance worker to perform semi-skilled to skilled construction, maintenance and repair of the city’s street systems. You will operate trucks and heavy equipment, assist in snow and ice removal, and haul materials under the direction of the Street & Traffic Manager.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and ideally two years of street construction/maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in street construction, maintenance and repair is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operates trucks and heavy equipment in snow and ice removal, sanding operations and material hauling.
• Involvement in all phases of street maintenance and repair.
• Sets up traffic control devices and equipment; uses shovel, rake and jackhammer asphalt and concrete; fills cracks and potholes.
