Job summary

Montana Department of Transportation in Seeley Lake seeks a Highway Maintenance Technician - CDL Driver / Equipment Operator to perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks, operate trucks and heavy equipment, and support culvert, roadway, and snow/ice operations. Eligibility requires a Montana CDL Class A, Type II without restrictions and a Medical Examiner’s Certificate; 45-mile residency requirement and relocation

Qualifications

• Valid Montana CDL Class A, Type II with no restrictions.
• Must possess a Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
• Experience driving heavy trucks or operating construction equipment preferred for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate various trucks and heavy equipment for highway maintenance.
• Perform culvert placement, crack sealing, fence building, and bridge repairs.
• Assist with vegetation control, pavement marking, and snow/ice control.
