Job summary

City of Reynoldsburg is seeking a sign technician to fabricate, install, repair, and remove traffic and street name signs as required by city departments. You will perform on-site inspections for compliance and respond to inquiries related to standard drawings and methods.

The role involves driving to inspection sites, maintaining logs, and coordinating with the engineering and building staff. A CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsements is required or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 2–3 years previous experience and training in use of power and/or hand tools
• Valid Ohio Class A Commercial Driver’s license, with air brakes and tanker endorsements or must obtain within one year of employment and maintain it

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, installs, repairs, and removes signs as requested by city departments
• Performs on-site inspections for code compliance on commercial & residential properties
• Receive and investigate complaints from homeowners, contractors & city officials
• Answer inquiries regarding city standard drawings, construction methods & procedures
• Operate motor vehicle to travel to inspection sites
• Maintain logs and prepare correspondence and inspection results
