Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking a Project Coordinator for Street Lighting to support the Street Light Maintenance team. The role handles outages and repair requests, researches records, and drives issues toward resolution while providing regular updates to customers by phone and in writing.

The coordinator works with PM staff to define requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure timely, within-scope project delivery.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate's Degree or better in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of cost estimating and scheduling concepts.
• Knowledge of budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, influence others and resolve issues.
• Customer-oriented, team-focused attitude with good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to team members under the Project Manager.
• Facilitate communication between the Project Manager, service providers and internal customers.
• Review and coordinate project-related documents and materials; manage specific project-related tasks.
• Field customer concerns and work with appropriate parties for resolution.
• Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers as directed by PMs.
• Apply basic project management concepts and practices.
• Track milestones and report progress on project and program levels.
• Support emergency response work as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
