Job summary

Puget Sound Energy in Bothell, WA is seeking a Project Coordinator for the Street Lighting program. Under the direction of the Project Manager, you will coordinate work, track milestones, manage communications with customers and service providers, and help ensure timely delivery of project tasks.

This role emphasizes strong written and verbal communication, basic cost estimating and scheduling concepts, and the ability to work with internal teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Two year Associate's Degree or better in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of cost estimating and scheduling concepts.
• Knowledge of utility methods, techniques and procedures involved in budgeting, procurement and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, influence others and resolve issues.
• Customer-oriented, a positive, team-oriented attitude, flexibility, an understanding of the business issues driving the need for the project, and solid work ethic are expected.

Responsibilities

• Under general direction of project manager, provides oversight and direction to team members.
• Facilitates communication between Project Manager, service providers and internal customers, including technical support at the direction of a project manager.
• Reviews and provides support and coordination on project-related documentation, technical memorandum, design plans, specifications, and other project related materials; and manages specific project related tasks as directed by the Project Manager
• Fields customer concerns and works with appropriate parties for resolution.
• In support of PMs or Senior PMs, facilitates technical assistance to internal and external customers.
• Applies basic project management concepts and practices.
• Tracks project milestones and deliverables and reports on project and program progress as directed.
• Support emergency response work as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
