Job summary

The Town of Estes Park is seeking qualified applicants for Street Equipment Specialist I/II/III to support street, stormwater, and drainage maintenance. The position is open until filled with the first review on November 1, 2026, and residency within 60 minutes of duty location is required.

Responsibilities include operating a variety of heavy and light equipment, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with special events and traffic control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in general construction or municipal government preferred for Level I.
• Two years of heavy equipment operation experience for Level II.
• Four years of heavy equipment operation experience for Level III.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine safety checks and basic maintenance on vehicles.
• Operate a range of heavy and light equipment (loader, grader, dump trucks, street sweeper).
• Maintain streets, trails, bridges, and drainage infrastructure.
• Assist with special events and work zone traffic control as needed.
• Data entry and use of work order systems (e.g., Lucity).
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally.
• Perform snow removal and winter maintenance as assigned.
