Job summary

The Town of Estes Park seeks a Civil Engineer I/II (Stormwater Engineer) to implement the Town's Stormwater Management Plan and help develop a maintenance schedule. Successful candidates should have stormwater experience and clearly articulate their qualifications in the supplemental questions.

A Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or the ability to obtain certification within one year of hire is a requirement.

Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering or 120 undergrad hours; six years may substitute.
• Experience in stormwater engineering is highly preferred.
• CFM certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project and program records and documentation.
• Review policy, codes, and regulations while implementing tasks.
• Coordinate Right-of-Way, Floodplain, and Land Development programs.
• Provide construction inspection and project management for public works.
• Coordinate bidding, award, and preconstruction phases.
• Support grant funding processes and reporting.
