Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking an HR Manager – HR Systems to own the Workday experience and deliver a seamless HR function for a growing nationwide workforce. You will lead a high-performing team, oversee security, configurations, and reporting, and drive biannual releases and enhancements to support HR operations.

The role requires 7+ years in HRIS with strong Workday expertise, 3+ years of leadership, and exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Human Resources Systems (HRIS) experience, including significant experience administering Workday.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing HR Systems or HRIS teams.
• Deep knowledge of Workday HCM, including business processes, security, reporting, and system configuration.
• Experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas such as Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Learning, or Absence Management.
• Experience leading Workday implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of HR operations and best practices.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical skills with experience creating reports, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the organization's Workday platform, ensuring alignment with HR and business priorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop the HR Systems team responsible for Workday administration, configuration, enhancements, and end-user support.
• Oversee the intake, prioritization, and resolution of HR systems support tickets while maintaining service level expectations.
• Manage the planning, testing, and deployment of Workday biannual releases, new functionality, and system enhancements.
• Oversee Workday security roles, business processes, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
• Lead system implementation projects, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives from planning through execution.
