Job summary

Michels Corporation is seeking an HR Manager – HR Systems to own the Workday experience powering our people operations. You will lead a team responsible for Workday administration, enhancements, and HR support across the organization, driving continuous improvement and scaling processes for a nationwide workforce.

You will oversee biannual Workday releases, security, reporting, and integrations, while collaborating with HR and technology partners to deliver strategic HR solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field (preference to HR) or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including significant Workday administration.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing HR Systems/HRIS teams.
• Deep knowledge of Workday HCM, including security, reporting, and configuration.
• Experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas (Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Learning, or Absence Management).
• Experience leading Workday implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the organization’s Workday platform, ensuring alignment with HR and business priorities.
• Lead, coach, and develop the HR Systems team responsible for Workday administration, configuration, enhancements, and end-user support.
• Oversee the intake, prioritization, and resolution of HR systems support tickets while maintaining service level expectations.
• Manage the planning, testing, and deployment of Workday biannual releases, new functionality, and system enhancements.
• Oversee Workday security roles, business processes, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
• Lead system implementation projects, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives from planning through execution.
