Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced logistics supervisor to oversee 24/7 warehouse operations, drive quality initiatives, and lead a team of supervisors and staff. You will ensure commitments are met with customers and vendors while upholding OSHA safety standards.

A strong background in Lean/Six Sigma and ISO/AS9100 environments is preferred. Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, coordinating maintenance, and implementing programs to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) (preferred).
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment (preferred).
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience (preferred).
• Availability to travel up to 20%.
• Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Demonstrate understanding of GXO's quality policies and establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
• Provide guidance to supervisors regarding personnel, quality and safety.
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff.
• Recommend programs to improve operations.
• Handle equipment and coordinate maintenance needs with the maintenance team.
• Maintain records and complete reports in a timely manner.
• Enforce safe work practices and ensure warehouse compliance with OSHA and other standards and regulations.
• Oversee supply chain operations in a 24/7 warehouse environment.
