Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables is seeking a Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead the accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for the corporate parent and project entities, including SPEs. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the close cycle, liaise with auditors and lenders, build a high-performing team, and drive system improvements to scale with the company's growth.

This role requires CPA, Big 4 background, and strong GAAP knowledge, with a track record of leading

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 5 years in management; Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to apply complex GAAP rules.
• Tech-savvy with track record of software implementations and vendor management.
• Experience consolidating multiple entities and complex partnerships.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and change-management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to operate in a high-growth environment with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the near-term to long-term close process and external/internal reporting for OneEnergy Inc. and SPEs.
• Lead annual financial statement audits and audits demanded by lenders or tax equity investors.
• Maintain strong internal controls and scalable accounting processes.
• Recruit, mentor, and scale the accounting team to support growth.
• Drive systems improvements and automate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and evolving accounting guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new entities and transactions.
• Manage accounting systems, banking, and payroll vendor relationships.
• Oversee regulatory reporting and timely audits/tax deadlines across states.
• Oversee bi-monthly payroll processing and 401k administration.
