Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables in Boulder, CO seeks a Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations, close process, and financial reporting for corporate and project-level entities in solar development and tax equity financing. Reporting to the CFO, this role builds a high-performance team, strengthens internal controls, and partners with Legal, Systems, and Development to enable rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years management experience.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong GAAP accounting knowledge with ability to apply complex GAAP rules.
• Experience utilizing technology to enhance department efficiency and effectiveness.
• Experience selecting and overseeing software implementations and managing vendor relationships with software (Intaact).
• Proven leadership and people-management skills; ability to coach and develop teams.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment on complex initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high accuracy under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and all external and internal financial reporting for OneEnergy Inc. and project-level subsidiaries.
• Lead the annual financial statement audit and other required audits; liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and lenders.
• Refine and maintain strong internal controls and processes across corporate and project-level entities.
• Recruit, mentor, and scale the accounting team to support rapid company growth.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems, close-process efficiency, and reporting automation.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings across states and with outside tax advisors.
• Oversee regulatory reporting for all LLCs by state and manage payroll and 401k administration.
• Maintain relationships with banking and payroll vendors.
