Job summary

PROENERGY is seeking a Corporate Controller in Houston, TX to oversee all internal and external SEC reporting, technical accounting, and the accounting close process. You will lead A/P, A/R, banking, payroll, and tax functions, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely financial statements.

The role requires a BS in Accounting or Finance with 10+ years in finance, 3+ years in a leadership role, and strong English skills. Houston location, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
• 3+ years in a finance or accounting leadership role.
• Fluent in English with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Internal and external SEC reporting.
• Technical accounting guidance implementation and policy design.
• Accounting close and ERP system processes management.
• Maintain the general ledger in GAAP on a timely basis.
• Lead the annual audit.
• Lead the monthly closing process.
• Ensure timely account reconciliations.
• Lead semi-annual bank audits.
• Lead annual 401K audit.
• Coordinate GAAP and Tax books for timely filings.
