Job summary

Tunnel to Towers Foundation in New York is seeking a Coordinator to source national and regional employment opportunities for Veterans, help obtain interviews, and support onboarding for the Homeless Veteran Program.

You will build relationships with leaders across the country, maintain a veteran job bank, assess opportunities, and report outcomes to the Director of Social Services on a bi-weekly basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of employment sourcing, recruiting, or onboarding experience in a corporate environment.
• Nonprofit experience preferred.
• Experience with Veterans or other homeless populations preferred.
• Excellent computer literacy including Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, etc.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.
• Must be a team player and able to work in a collaborative environment.
• Pre-employment screening, including a background check, is required.

Responsibilities

• Source national and regional employment opportunities for Veterans in key markets.
• Assist in obtaining job opportunities and interviews for veterans.
• Collaborate and maintain relationships with nationwide business leaders to identify opportunities and act as liaison.
• Attend job fairs and networking events to source additional opportunities.
• Identify and maintain a database with viable employment opportunities and develop a veteran job bank.
• Conduct vocational assessments to determine required education or training.
• Compile and submit program outcomes, referred applicants, on-boarded hires to the Director bi-weekly.
• Report monthly on a minimum of 10 new employment opportunities.
• Conduct follow-ups with employers and candidates post-referral and address issues.
• Assist in Foundation Events as needed.
