Job summary

The Omaha Tribe is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to research, develop, and implement staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. The role emphasizes recruitment processes, posting ads, and compliance with laws and tribal policies. The work is highly detail oriented and collaborative with HR and department leaders.

You will host tribal job fairs monthly, maintain accurate applicant records, and assist with receptionist duties and other HR tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in HR/Business preferred; associates in Arts in Business required.
• Two to four years of job-related experience/training highly preferred.
• Tribal HR Certification preferred, or must obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
• Drafts job descriptions with department supervisors and hiring criteria.
• Screens applications and identifies qualified candidates.
• Attends, coordinates and hosts college/job fairs; tribal community fairs at least monthly.
• Performs receptionist duties and HR clerical tasks (filing, copying, scheduling).
• Cross-trained in all HR areas and ensures compliance with laws and policies.
