Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Transportation Scheduler to ensure coverage for transportation operation demands. The role focuses on developing schedules, informing drivers of changes, and coordinating vehicle assignments to meet routes efficiently.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and preferably 1–2 years in transportation, with strong communication and teamwork skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. DOT regulations familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of experience in a transportation environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks; familiarity with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops schedules (routes, workload, trips) to determine driver and equipment needs.
• Communicates schedules and route changes to drivers and handles incidents affecting service.
• Coordinates scheduling of vehicles to meet transportation requirements.
• Recommends policies or actions to improve transportation services.
• Responds to inquiries from customers, drivers, and vendors regarding routes and deliveries.
• Assists in other duties as needed to support the Transportation Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
