Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation seeks a senior staff member to supervise the Work Program staff and contribute to the creation, development, and maintenance of the Department’s Five-Year Work Program. The role emphasizes accuracy of cost estimates and schedules, and coordination with district staff to minimize roll-forward risks.

The successful candidate will oversee Program Administration, Production Management, LAP and GEC management, and act as primary liaison between District Director

Qualifications

• Knowledge of project engineering and transportation project development processes.
• Understanding management principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Work Program staff and assists in creating, developing, and maintaining the Five-Year Work Program.
• Serves as liaison between District Director and Central office regarding production commitments.
• Manages cost estimates, schedules, and adherence to budgets for transportation projects.
• Collaborates with Planning and Design units to ensure feasibility within cost and schedule constraints.
• Directs generation of reports to plan and track work prosecution.
• Oversees GIS development, maintenance, and related reporting.
