Job summary

1898 & Co. is seeking a Transmission Planning Project Manager to oversee all phases of transmission planning projects, from business development through execution.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, develop scope and fee structures, ensure quality deliverables, and maintain strong client relationships. You will mentor and grow talent within the team, lead contract negotiations, and apply best practices in regulatory standards and power system modeling to deliver impactful solutions for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Experience leading technical aspects of consulting engagements in power systems, grid modernization.
• Experience in business development, client operations, or program management in critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of transmission planning projects from business development through execution.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, scope, budget, and scheduling; ensure quality deliverables.
• Lead contract development and negotiations with clients; set project objectives.
• Communicate project status, risks, and costs to stakeholders and leadership.
• Mentor junior staff and champion internal initiatives for team growth.
