MTA Bus Company seeks an Analyst for Strategic Priorities to support the Department of Buses with data-driven projects. The ideal candidate will analyze running times, frequency, and reliability to inform improvements, and will work with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in business administration, public administration, policy, engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Alternative: Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of professional experience including transportation industry.
• Proven ability to analyze data and report on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development, tracking, and implementation of strategic priorities across the Department of Buses.
• Conduct quantitative analysis of bus operations data to identify performance trends and gaps.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across depot operations, planning, facilities, transportation and operations.
• Monitor milestones and ensure deliverables stay on schedule.
• Research best practices in transit operations.
• Develop KPIs and performance frameworks for initiatives.
• Identify risks and mitigation approaches.
• Maintain documentation related to project plans and outcomes.
• Participate in public outreach, including meetings and workshops.
• Represent the department with other agencies and stakeholders.
