Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager/Senior Counsel in McLean, VA to lead corporate and strategic transactions, including M&A, venture investments, and licensing for premium products and other businesses. You’ll advise on complex agreements, manage due diligence, and coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel.

The role requires a J.D., active bar admission, and 4+ years in corporate transactions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar admission, preferably Virginia.
• 4+ years in corporate and strategic transactions including M&A, venture capital, and strategic arrangements.
• Excellent drafting/negotiation skills and ability to lead negotiation teams.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating a wide range of transactions including M&A, VC investments, and licensing agreements.
• Oversee due diligence, complex agreements, and alliances with internal partners and outside counsel as needed.
• Counsel business groups on legal issues and implement repeatable transactional processes.
