Job summary

Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is seeking a Training and Education Specialist III for the Birth to Three Early Intervention Program (B23). You will design and deliver training, provide technical assistance, and develop resources that support IDEA Part C compliance for staff, providers, partners, and families.

The role emphasizes public speaking, collaboration across programs and agencies, and community outreach to strengthen Delaware’s statewide early intervention

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience delivering training or education courses, services, or group activities.
• Experience designing curricula, lesson plans, and instructional materials to meet learning objectives.
• Experience in conducting outreach and presenting information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and delivers training and education courses, in-person or virtual.
• Prepares materials and equipment for sessions (exercises, handouts, manuals, AV gear).
• Selects delivery methods and tools to promote effective learning using evidence-based practices.
• Coaches learners and provides feedback to improve performance.
• Collects data via surveys, evaluations, interviews and meetings to assess quality and needs.
• Makes recommendations for improvements to courses, content, and resources.
• Provides guidance on training matters and promotes related services.
