Job summary

The Prairie Island Indian Community seeks a Training Coordinator to align employee development with tribal priorities. You will administer the Skill Path program, coordinate development plans, and work with People & Culture, Education, and department managers to identify workforce opportunities.

Responsibilities include scheduling, tracking, and evaluating training, maintaining IDTPs, and coordinating internal and external providers to close gaps and advance career paths.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with 2 years' training experience.
• Experience coordinating training programs and workforce development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic tracking systems.
• Experience with HRIS or learning management systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organization-wide employee training and development programs.
• Develop and maintain a monthly and annual training calendar.
• Coordinate orientation, onboarding, technical, leadership, supervisory, and job-specific training.
• Schedule training sessions, reserve facilities, prepare materials, and communicate requirements.
• Maintain records of employee training participation and completion.
• Monitor required certifications, licenses, continuing education, and renewals.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, data, and outcomes.
• Coordinate internal and external training providers and maintain a resources directory.
• Assist departments in identifying training solutions for gaps.
• Serve as the primary administrator and coordinator of the Skill Path Program.
• Review Skill Path requests for completeness and coordinate approvals.
• Identify competencies and milestones for each Skill Path.
• Coordinate IDTP process and annual reviews.
