Job summary

Prairie Island Indian Community seeks a TERO/Workforce Development Coordinator to support administration and enforcement of the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance. You will monitor coverage, ensure Native American Preference, review records, and assist with investigations while connecting community members to employment and training opportunities.

Responsibilities include maintaining secure files, compiling reports, and supporting outreach and partnerships within the TERO and workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate’s degree with related field experience as described.
• Experience with compliance, auditing, quality assurance, or similar.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply ordinances and policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with common computer software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration, implementation, and enforcement of the TERO Ordinance.
• Verify Native American Preference in employment and contracting.
• Review bids, contracts, and subcontracts for TERO provisions.
• Receive concerns, conduct investigations, and perform compliance reviews.
• Maintain confidential files and compile compliance data and reports.
• Assist with employment referrals and workforce development opportunities.
• Support employer outreach and workforce development initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
