Job summary

Alternatives, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Training Manager to lead training programs, technical assistance and capacity building for grant-funded work.

You will supervise staff, plan curricula, coordinate partnerships and ensure quality service delivery. Travel locally or nationally as needed, represent the organization at forums, support grant reporting and fundraising, and advance equity, trauma-informed practices, and youth-centered approaches.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Two years supervisory experience in a community-based organization.
• Ability to evaluate services and operationalize innovative programs.
• Strong project management skills for multifaceted programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel locally, statewide or nationally.
• Proficient in MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Lead training, technical assistance and capacity-building programs.
• Supervise staff and support professional development.
• Coordinate with Chief of Staff to meet department goals.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and grant-related activities.
• Oversee training cohorts, recruitment and facilitator backup.
• Ensure data collection and performance metrics.
• Develop curriculum and stay current with best practices.
• Represent Alternatives at forums and events.
• Travel as needed locally or nationally.
• Assist with grant reporting and fundraising.
