Job summary

Alternatives, Incorporated is seeking a Training Manager in Chicago to lead training, technical assistance, and capacity-building efforts with a focus on equity and inclusion. You will supervise staff, coordinate training cohorts, and collaborate with the Chief of Staff to meet grant-funded goals.

The role requires the ability to travel locally or nationally, manage programs and data, and ensure quality in curriculum development and evaluation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two years supervisory experience required.
• Experience evaluating services and operationalizing programs.
• Ability to build organizational capacity with limited resources.
• Proficiency with management reporting tools.
• Strong project management skills for complex programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience leading teams and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and program leadership for training, TA, and capacity-building programs.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff and ensure in-service training as needed.
• Collaborate with Chief of Staff to plan development and achieve department goals.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and training cohorts; back-up facilitator as needed.
• Manage relationships with partner organizations and grant-funded work.
• Ensure staff training for external trainings and capacity-building.
• Maintain accurate data and performance metrics tracking.
• Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; stay current with best practices.
• Provide primary TA services, both in-person and virtually.
• Oversee needs assessments and professional development plans.
• Coordinate grant reporting with data team and finance to ensure compliance.
• Support fee-for-service trainings and logistics; respond to inquiries.
• Travel locally, statewide, or nationally to deliver training or TA.
