Job summary

Girls Educational & Mentoring Services is seeking a Training and Technical Assistance Director to lead strategic learning initiatives, build a new training department, and develop curricula and evaluation frameworks. The role collaborates with senior leadership to align staff development with the agency's mission and external partners for TA delivery.

The position oversees budgeting, onboarding, and staff supervision, while driving innovative training programs and ensuring high-quality T/TA

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a Director role.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Proficiency with MS PowerPoint and other presentation software.
• Experience with webinar presentations.
• Familiarity with e-learning processes and creating training opportunities.
• Ability to collaborate with external partners to develop income-generating training.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction for strategic learning and development within the organization and for the Training and Technical Assistance Department.
• Create and develop all training materials including trainer guides; training video or audio; participant materials and evaluation systems.
• Develop curricula, needs assessments, and evaluation activities; collaborate with partners to maintain and enhance quality of T/TA products.
• Provide budgetary oversight to Training Department to ensure fiscal fidelity.
• Supervise Training and Technical Assistance Manager(s) and develop staff capabilities.
• Collaborate with management to identify staff development needs and create appropriate training programs.
• Develop onboarding processes with HR including orientation for new employees.
• Coordinate annual staff meetings to align mission with daily work and goals.
• Develop an organizational strategic plan in collaboration with Senior Management.
• Provide in-house learning and development activities for staff.
