Job summary

Alternatives, Inc. is seeking a Training Coordinator in Chicago to oversee the development and delivery of Restorative Justice, Trauma Informed Care, and Racial Equity curricula.

You will manage logistics, grant compliance, and training workflows while supporting the Training Manager with technical assistance and capacity building for partner organizations. You will coordinate trainings in person and virtually, tailor sessions to audiences, administer Pre/Post surveys, and ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Two years of facilitation experience.
• Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, Racial Equity Frameworks, and Restorative Justice.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders (organizations, funders, etc.).
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and ability to deliver engaging staff development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel locally, statewide or nationally.
• Cultural competency and sensitivity to race and equity issues.
• Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.
• Professionalism in punctuality, documentation, organization and responsiveness.
• Must complete Alternatives Internal Leadership Pipeline Program within two attempts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum including surveys and alignment with TIC, RJ and RE; ensure grant compliance.
• Provide in-person and virtual technical assistance and capacity building for organizations, schools or community partners per grant requirements.
• Facilitate trainings in person and virtual, including preparation work and Pre/Post surveys.
• Oversee training administrative tasks such as monthly training calendar, Eventbrite, securing locations, surveys and data entry.
• Develop new curriculum based on grant requirements or organizational needs.
• Manage relationships with current entities and represent Alternatives at forums and meetings.
• Ensure compliance to contracts, grants, and fee-for-service fundraising goals and complete reports.
• Participate in promotion and fundraising initiatives.
• Travel locally, statewide or nationally to provide training or TA as assigned.
