Job summary

AbbVie Inc. seeks a seasoned program manager to serve as the focal point for products manufactured by Third Party Manufacturers or as a Third Party Manufacturer on a contract basis.

You will coordinate with Legal, MTS, R&D, Materials Management & Logistics, Marketing & BD, QA, Regulatory, MNO, AbbVie plants and Program Management to ensure supply commitments and contract adherence. Responsibilities include serving as the primary AbbVie contact with TPMs and customers, negotiating extensions,

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Science, Engineering, Operations, Business or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8 years experience in a combination of manufacturing, program management, materials management, logistics, QA, marketing, business development or engineering.
• Demonstrated success in financial analysis, negotiations and project management.
• Excellent program management, presentation, oral and written communication skills.
• Team oriented; able to understand operations and operational/logistical issues.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in relation to manufacturing and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between AbbVie and Third Party Customer or Third Party Manufacturer; travel to TPM/TPC sites to understand TPM capabilities.
• Interface with executive management at TPMs and for TPCs.
• Ensure contract commitments are fulfilled and involve relevant AbbVie resources when issues arise.
• Analyze TPM capacity versus LRP forecasts and flag concerns proactively.
• Identify opportunities to in-source or out-source products for AbbVie.
• Negotiate new contracts and extensions with Third Parties; ensure clear performance metrics.
• Maintain Third Party Contract information and track key dates/milestones.
• Identify TPMs for new/existing products; support launches and transfers; provide forecasting information to TPMs.
• Develop and maintain a TPM Capability and Due Diligence Database; maintain worldwide expertise.
