Job summary

Vertex’s Data, Technology and Engineering (DTE) team seeks a technology operations leader to join our Project Management and Strategic Operations group. The Associate Director, Strategic Operations - Technology will tackle how we work across DTE to deploy technologies that scale our business, partnering with technology leaders to design disciplined processes.

Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor's degree.
Typically requires 8 years of experience or equivalent.
Experience in operations management, management consulting, or biotech domain; MBA or advanced degree preferred with 6+ years in related roles.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic initiatives to improve DTE operations by reducing complexity and streamlining activities.
Develop and refine process improvements for DTE with input from the extended LT community.
Communicate operational performance to DTE leadership including CIO.
Develop and manage cross-functional planning, stage gate reviews, and change management.
Monitor execution and report metrics of operational performance.
Maintain repository of technology roadmaps and deployments.
Coordinate across DTE functions to deliver Vertex technology.
