Job summary

Discord is seeking a strategic Technical Sourcer to support complex engineering roles across the org. You will activate passive candidates, build pipelines, and partner with engineering leadership to translate requirements into targeted sourcing plans.

You will conduct TAM research, map competitors, craft personalized outreach, and maintain pipeline health with data-driven insights. This temporary US-based full-time role offers a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

5+ years of technical sourcing or recruitment experience in a high-growth tech environment.
Experience hiring senior, staff, and principal engineers plus engineering managers in competitive markets.
Strong technical aptitude to understand complex roles and translate requirements into signals and criteria.
Proficiency with boolean search and advanced sourcing methods (x-ray, GitHub, conferences).
Experience with SeekOut, Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub and Greenhouse is a plus.

Responsibilities

Partner with hiring managers and leaders to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
Size TAM and map talent pools to inform hiring timelines for niche technical roles.
Develop target account lists and sourcing criteria aligned with Discord’s architecture and culture.
Create customized sourcing strategies and engage passive talent through outreach.
Manage candidate experience from initial outreach through recruiter handoff.
