Job summary

Swoon is seeking a Technical Talent Sourcer (Contract) to support high-priority hiring across engineering and technical functions in a fast-scaling environment in San Francisco.

You will evaluate inbound candidates and qualify talent across software engineering, infrastructure, and AI/ML, focusing on quality and speed in a high-volume, high-bar setting with strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in technical recruiting or sourcing.
• Sourced Software Engineering roles across Backend, Infrastructure, Security, Trust & Safety, Product, Platform Engineering, and ML Engineering.
• Experience in engineering, data, or infrastructure hiring.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate technical profiles beyond keywords (GitHub, systems, scale, impact).
• Maintain speed without compromising quality in high-volume environments.
• Understand technical org structures and hiring patterns; manage inbound-heavy pipelines; document processes in ATS.

Our Client is seeking a Technical Talent Sourcer (Contract) to support high-priority hiring across engineering and technical functions during a period of rapid scale.

This role sits at the frontline of talent signal identification, owning the evaluation and qualification of inbound candidates (referrals, applicants, and passive interest) across technical domains including software engineering, infrastructure, and AI/ML.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience
• Must have directly sourced for Software Engineering roles across Backend, Infrastructure, Security, Trust & Safety, Product, Platform Engineering, and Machine Learning Engineering (MLE)
• Technical sourcing, recruiting, or candidate evaluation
• Supporting hiring for engineering, data, or infrastructure roles

Demonstrated ability to:

• Evaluate technical profiles beyond keywords (GitHub, systems, scale, impact)
• Operate in high-volume, high-bar environments
• Maintain speed without compromising quality
• Strong understanding of:
• Technical org structures and hiring patterns
• Inbound-heavy pipelines (referrals, applicants)
• ATS systems
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills
